Fetured Post

My way from corporate to role as home maker and now college life!!!

As a child, I used to play games with my siblings and friends and used to be school teacher for them. Draping a shawl borrowed from my mother's wardrobe, Closing the room, I used to grab my mother's economics book and read it. I was just 7 years old then.  I used stand in front of my little brother or sometimes no one , I used to hold a pencil and teach an empty room - the subject of economics. At that time, I never had any ambitions. It was just 'teacher - teacher' game.  As I started growing up, my friends started showing keen interest in science stream as there  was IT boom in that period. My relatives all around were encouraging their children to take up either the field of medical or engineering. As this trend continued, so did the emergence of coaching classes in various forms. But I had different idea. My parents never coerced me in taking a particular specialization. They completely left it to me and this was which I am very much thankful to them. After compl...

Yoga

Image
Hey Everyone, I thought today I will venture into something I have been practicing for ten years now and after much contemplation felt that it would be nice on my part to share my knowledge and experiences with all of you.  Yesterday, I saw that my daughter was enjoying practicing little bit of yoga that she knows and that moment I realized that I should share my experiences of yoga with all of you. I am not an expert, but I practice some, not all asanas on a daily basis which may not be difficult at all for anyone of you. In today’s times, especially in this pandemic period where everyone must follow certain COVID appropriate protocols, staying healthy is the biggest challenge. So, what do we do? How do we maintain our health in the best possible way and stay in shape? The best way out is - practicing Yoga at home. What is Yoga? Yoga is a form of exercise meant not just for our physical well - being but also our mental health. It originates from India where it is practi...

Let go off the past.

Hey Everyone, How are you all? We all love our parents. Don't we? Yes, We do. We all have our own stories to tell. As children probably we have created innumerable memories and still recall and laugh at all our childhood pranks or stories. But, sometimes there are some friends amongst us who might not have wonderful tales to tell. They might have witnessed the most difficult days personally or might have seen their parents or friends or neighbors suffer. We try to imagine that whatever  bad is happening will just pass through and we will definitely paint the most beautiful picture for ourselves in the future. As children our minds are so tender, as tender as a flower that we get upset by whatever distressing things happen around us but try to fix it in our mind as we do not have the power as children to fix it practically ourselves. On this note, today I am bringing to you a 2013 movie - Saving Mr. Banks starring Mr. Tom Hanks as Walt Disney and Emma Thompson as P.L.Travers...

Broken bones should not break our spirit to fight.

Hey Everyone, How are you all? It has ben a week since I posted a thing on my blog. When I was doing My Master in Business Administration, just before my college had opened I had broken my arm as I had fallen from my scooter. I was so depressed thinking about not going to college on my scooter. Anyway, I went to College but I had enough number of people expressing their concern about my broken arm and I had to repeat my story every now and then. There is nothing inspirational about me and my broken arm but yes I had to manage for three months in college only with one arm. Operating a laptop was little difficult but manageable. Other than that carrying books, writing was bit difficult as the speed was reduced as the book used to slip every now and then or for that matter even the answer sheet while attending for my exams. Anyway I wanted to share a really beautiful film with all of you which is really inspiring and truly celebrates the spirit of 'Never Say Die'. I found this Fi...
