My way from corporate to role as home maker and now college life!!!

As a child, I used to play games with my siblings and friends and used to be school teacher for them. Draping a shawl borrowed from my mother's wardrobe, Closing the room, I used to grab my mother's economics book and read it. I was just 7 years old then.  I used stand in front of my little brother or sometimes no one , I used to hold a pencil and teach an empty room - the subject of economics. At that time, I never had any ambitions. It was just 'teacher - teacher' game.  As I started growing up, my friends started showing keen interest in science stream as there  was IT boom in that period. My relatives all around were encouraging their children to take up either the field of medical or engineering. As this trend continued, so did the emergence of coaching classes in various forms. But I had different idea. My parents never coerced me in taking a particular specialization. They completely left it to me and this was which I am very much thankful to them. After compl...

Broken bones should not break our spirit to fight.

 Hey Everyone,

How are you all? It has ben a week since I posted a thing on my blog. When I was doing My Master in Business Administration, just before my college had opened I had broken my arm as I had fallen from my scooter. I was so depressed thinking about not going to college on my scooter. Anyway, I went to College but I had enough number of people expressing their concern about my broken arm and I had to repeat my story every now and then. There is nothing inspirational about me and my broken arm but yes I had to manage for three months in college only with one arm. Operating a laptop was little difficult but manageable. Other than that carrying books, writing was bit difficult as the speed was reduced as the book used to slip every now and then or for that matter even the answer sheet while attending for my exams.

Anyway I wanted to share a really beautiful film with all of you which is really inspiring and truly celebrates the spirit of 'Never Say Die'. I found this Film - Ride like a Girl, a 2019 movie on Netflix. It is based on the true story of  Michelle Payne, the first woman jockey to win the Melbourne Cup in 2015. I thought it was really exhilarating as the girl in the movie breaks her bones umpteen number of times but still never gives up her love for horse riding. Her siblings ask her to give up. Even her Father gets scared for his youngest daughter but she never stops fighting the odds in her life. Other than the health issues, she faces problems because of her gender and people are apprehensive whether a girl would be able to ride a horse in such pressure. She fights it out, puts her point very strongly in front of the concerned authorities. Despite all this, her dedication to the sport, her hard work finally pays off.

This movie really celebrates the spirit of Never say Die attitude which sometimes we give up under pressure due to various reasons like health, lack of knowledge or education, financial constraints or even due to societal pressures.  This movie shows the various distractions, pressures in life that the main protagonist faces but she aims for the sky and finally grabs it with both her hands. I think all of you should not just watch the movie and enjoy it but also draw some valuable lesson from it.

Now I should go and have some dinner. So see you all. Don't forget to comment.

Bye.

Love you All,

Namitha
