My way from corporate to role as home maker and now college life!!!

As a child, I used to play games with my siblings and friends and used to be school teacher for them. Draping a shawl borrowed from my mother's wardrobe, Closing the room, I used to grab my mother's economics book and read it. I was just 7 years old then.  I used stand in front of my little brother or sometimes no one , I used to hold a pencil and teach an empty room - the subject of economics. At that time, I never had any ambitions. It was just 'teacher - teacher' game.  As I started growing up, my friends started showing keen interest in science stream as there  was IT boom in that period. My relatives all around were encouraging their children to take up either the field of medical or engineering. As this trend continued, so did the emergence of coaching classes in various forms. But I had different idea. My parents never coerced me in taking a particular specialization. They completely left it to me and this was which I am very much thankful to them. After compl...

How to be different or unique from others

How to be different from others

1. Make decisions on your own and stick to them.

Listen to the discussions going on around you. Be a good listener but go ahead with what you feel is right and make your own decision. Do not depend on others for the choices you make and be proud and hold yourself responsible for whatever choices you make.

2. Be honest to yourself.

Never lie to yourself. Do not try to emulate others. Just be yourself and be proud of who you are. One should be honest not just to others but also to oneself as you yourself are answerable to your conscious  at the end of the day.

3. Accept your flaws.

Not everyone is perfect. We are all humans, not superhumans or God. We must admit to ourselves the flaws that we have and try to work on improving ourselves. Don't try to act as a perfect person as it leads to being dishonest and displaying your artificial self out there in the society and to yourself.

4. Respect Yourself.

Learn to adore and respect yourself. God has made one unique piece like you. There is no one who looks like you, or thinks like you or have characteristics like you. So, respect yourself and treat yourself with dignity, however you are.

5. Be Optimistic.

Have a positive outlook towards life. Never be negative towards life, society or even towards yourself. The more positive you become the more happy and fulfilled you become.

6. Never give up on your ambition.

Have goals. Chart a plan on how to achieve those goals. Never give up on your ambition even if you fail. Give your best shot and achieve it. At the end of it, you will be happy. You will have no regrets.

7. Stop thinking about the past an worrying about the future.

One should always live in the present and stop worrying about the future as it is something which we have never seen. Life springs surprises to us in different forms. Do not bother yourself by thinking about the past. Learn from it and move on. Keep all the wonderful memories and be happy.

 8. Follow a routine.

Have a routine and strictly adhere to it. It gives you a direction and you remind yourself that these are the activities which you have to do for the day. By doing this you won't go astray.

9. Never stop learning.

Learning can be in any form. Life can teach you wonderful lessons. You can read, do a course, learn music, art, dance or anything. We learn from children, peers, friends, family. There is so much to absorb from everywhere. So never close the windows of your mind. Keep it open. Being open to learning makes you mature, responsible, widens your prism of thoughts which makes you different from others.

10. Be Thankful.

Always be grateful for what you have. Do not be pessimistic by bothering about something which you do not have. May be God has some other great plans for you. Time never waits. You have only few days of youth, you have only one parents, your children have only one childhood which will never return. Be thankful about the job or the work you do.  So, be thankful for everyone and everything around you.

By practicing these mentioned above, you will not just be happy but different as you will be full of joy. Life is not just about being competitive. It is also about joy. When we are happy, we see things differently and we transform into a better and different person as compared to others.
