What is the reason that BJP couldn't touch the magic number of 272?

The elections concluded with much grandeur and the results were awaited with baited breath by all. The toppers looked upon it as achieving All India Rank with record numbers while others saw it as  an opportunity to gain lost ground. It was a very well fought election from the both sides. The voters were offered different kinds of promises. Five years ago it was the slogan of 'Ayega toh Modi hi' which everyone knew that it was the writing on the wall any which ways. But this time around the BJP went a little overboard with its slogan ' Abki baar 400 Paar'. This slogan echoed the confidence of the party but somewhere it bought some kind of apprehension among the voters which the opposition was trying to instill.  The media diverted its attention towards the numbers but the opposition saw this as an opportunity to create anxiety among the voters that this kind of power will put democracy in danger. The carrying of the constitution everywhere and putting it in display and ...

Life is a challenge - take it.

 Hey Everyone,

I was devastated during the end of January this year as I was not able to clear my Level 2 Exams of CFA conducted by the CFA institute in December 2020. I was really heartbroken and I did not know how to face myself in the mirror. I had put in all my efforts but I felt kind of incapacitated when I saw my results. My daughter and husband were sleeping like angels. I had to break this news to my better half but I was falling short of words. The word 'DID NOT PASS' was staring back at me right on my face. Anyway, I gathered all the courage in the world to disclose my results to my husband and my mother. As I gave the news of my 'failure', I clearly remember, I almost felt as though I was reciting the toughest tongue twister in the whole world. They were equally shocked but like always they supported me like all families do. I was Inconsolable and crying like a small child. My little one when she woke up, hugged me and curiously asked "Mommy why are you crying? Did you not find your chocolate?" I almost laughed when she asked this innocently. For the sake of my baby I had  to start smiling and attend  to her. But my husband knew that this was haunting my mind and I was just acting for the sake of my child.

That day he suggested me a movie which I saw on Netflix - Penguin Bloom based on the true story of Sam Bloom starring Naomi Watts. This film is about the life of Sam after she faces a life changing accident where she is partially paralyzed and is unable to do her daily activities due to which she faces a sense of desperation and her family life suffers in turn. She finds herself in a helpless situation and  hates all sympathizers who come to visit her. In the mean time her children find a magpie bird which is hurt and bring it home to nurse it. She initially dislikes it but then develops a bond with it and finds inspiration from the bird.

This story is about how we should never give up and accept every challenge in life as it presents new opportunities in disguise. We should all accept that life is not simple and if it were simple then none of us would have understood the true meaning of striving. We would have just led our life as it is and never made any attempts to learn anything new. This movie taught me one great lesson, and that is, failing in an exam does not mean end of  the world as there are people to whom great tragedies occur but they never give up and strive to move ahead. So, that day I realized one thing, life is not about passing or failing an exam but how we take the challenges in the true spirit and paint a beautiful picture for ourselves and people around us.

I am waiting to hear from all of you. Please follow me on Koo app and also follow me on the blog.

Love you All,

Namitha

  1. Very much relatable. It almost reads like a movie script but with a plausible plot. Neither going overboard with emotions which would have made it a tear-jerker nor sermonixing. Good read.
