Fetured Post

My way from corporate to role as home maker and now college life!!!

As a child, I used to play games with my siblings and friends and used to be school teacher for them. Draping a shawl borrowed from my mother's wardrobe, Closing the room, I used to grab my mother's economics book and read it. I was just 7 years old then.  I used stand in front of my little brother or sometimes no one , I used to hold a pencil and teach an empty room - the subject of economics. At that time, I never had any ambitions. It was just 'teacher - teacher' game.  As I started growing up, my friends started showing keen interest in science stream as there  was IT boom in that period. My relatives all around were encouraging their children to take up either the field of medical or engineering. As this trend continued, so did the emergence of coaching classes in various forms. But I had different idea. My parents never coerced me in taking a particular specialization. They completely left it to me and this was which I am very much thankful to them. After compl...

The Recipe to Success lies in a person's Determination, Persistence and Failure.

Hi Friends,

When I wake up in the morning to write a blog post for all of you, my wonderful netizens throughout the world I really feel charged to write something meaningful and refreshing for all of you which would keep up all your spirits. When I first showed my blog content to my mother, in – laws, husband, my brother and sister – in – law just to get an honest opinion from all of them, as they matter the most to me, everybody sincerely appreciated my efforts that I am putting into it to make you all smile and motivated through my blog. When they asked me to make certain changes here and there, I thanked them wholeheartedly for their contributions. I wish if today my dad had been alive, he would have been on top of the moon. I think I have inherited my reading and writing genes from him. Thank you, Daddy,!!!

So, on this note, today I present my thoughts on another movie – The BOY who Harnessed the Wind, a 2019 British film based on a 13 – year – old schoolboy named William Kamkwamba who comes from a family whose primary occupation is farming in Wimbe a village in Malawi.  The boy fixes radios of his friends and neighbors and spends his free time in the junkyard searching for electronic components. I will not reveal the plot of the film as this is not my job. But I would tell all you my dear friends that this film is based on a true story and is certainly very inspirational.

It was so disheartening to see that people on our planet go without food for days and here are most of us who crib and cringe that what is served to us is not tasty enough or sometimes we even throw the food disrespecting it.  There is a scene in the movie when people go with bags to get ration from the Government authorities, a riot like situation and people push each other to get on the line so that they will be the first ones to enter before the authorities close the doors. It is so heart wrenching to see it. People rob each other of not money or assets but food. People start abandoning the village and even his sister elopes with his teacher stating in her letter “one less mouth to feed” which is heartbreaking. The boy never loses hope and remains optimistic while his mother shows her faith in his belief and his father follows. He resolves to save his village from the drought and that is this resolve which is worth noting. He beats all the odds to achieve his goals not for himself but for the community.

All the actors have done a great job and the movie is worth watching.  This film truly depicts that even when circumstances are trying, when there is no shimmer of hope remaining, when people are quitting around us, it is our determination, grit, and purpose to do something good that keeps us going and helps us to achieve what we resolve. We human beings have been given the power of thinking by God, let us use it for the greater good of our communities and help each other. That is the underlining message of this film.

I expect that you all liked my post today about this movie. Keep watching guys and do not forget to comment, follow, and subscribe guys. I am available on KOO app and facebook.

Bye friends.

Love you All,

Namitha.
