Fetured Post

My way from corporate to role as home maker and now college life!!!

As a child, I used to play games with my siblings and friends and used to be school teacher for them. Draping a shawl borrowed from my mother's wardrobe, Closing the room, I used to grab my mother's economics book and read it. I was just 7 years old then.  I used stand in front of my little brother or sometimes no one , I used to hold a pencil and teach an empty room - the subject of economics. At that time, I never had any ambitions. It was just 'teacher - teacher' game.  As I started growing up, my friends started showing keen interest in science stream as there  was IT boom in that period. My relatives all around were encouraging their children to take up either the field of medical or engineering. As this trend continued, so did the emergence of coaching classes in various forms. But I had different idea. My parents never coerced me in taking a particular specialization. They completely left it to me and this was which I am very much thankful to them. After compl...

Life is precious – Let us help eachother.

Hey Everyone, Today I want to bring to you a movie which will revive our fighter spirit in this pandemic period. In today’s day and age where information spreads (true or fake) faster than fire. Looking at all this both on social media as well as on news channels people’s mental health is affected vastly as there are curbs being imposed by the respective governments on our independence, let it be in any country. This pandemic has taken a toll not just on physical well - being but also on mental being. Not just that it has also impacted severely the relationships among people. But let us look at it in a different way. Let us go back in history when that is during the late 1930s. When one person tried to wipe out an entire community from the planet. People were marked, identified, coerced out of their homes, called names, and thrown in ghettos and then God knows what happened. Families were wiped out. Young children, Infants, Old and unhealthy were the most vulnerable of them...

Meditation – Chanting OM.

Image
Namaste to all of you, What is ‘OM’? In Hinduism, OM is chanted almost in every mantra or stotra or divine recitation. It is part and parcel of the culture not just in Hinduism but also in Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. This word is not particularly attached to any religion but is considered the sound of the universe. Hinduism teaches that there is divine presence in every living being. This word however brings people together.  When said collectively it connects our inner divine soul to the other person’s divinity. As it chimes with the universe in which we live, it connects all the living things or beings to the nature and to the universe. This is my personal experience when I had started attending yoga classes. The best part is that the recital of OM can be done either silently or even done while practicing Pranayams. Benefits of OM: I have had immense benefits after I started reciting this daily while practicing yoga. I have the habit of chanting various mantras every d...

Strong willpower, determination and belief in ourselves is what we require.

Hey everyone, I am glad to be back after almost two weeks now. These weeks I was a bit busy with my personal life and therefore was unable to concentrate on my blog. Anyway, now I am free and ready to blog. My husband is a food lover and I love cooking for him delicious recipes. I explore and experiment with my food and trust me sometimes everything goes haywire. But most of the times it comes out flavorful and mouth -watering. I would say ‘Yum’. That is what my dear husband says to me. Mind you, even if it is not so appetizing, my husband eats without any complaints. I love him for that. My weakness for food and fondness for blogging inclined me towards watching a movie which I just loved watching and now I have added it to my favorite list. The film that I was talking about Julie and Julia - is a 2009 release starring Meryl Streep and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. Both ladies come from different generations, but their lives are intertwined by their passion for cooking. Ju...
