What is the reason that BJP couldn't touch the magic number of 272?

The elections concluded with much grandeur and the results were awaited with baited breath by all. The toppers looked upon it as achieving All India Rank with record numbers while others saw it as  an opportunity to gain lost ground. It was a very well fought election from the both sides. The voters were offered different kinds of promises. Five years ago it was the slogan of 'Ayega toh Modi hi' which everyone knew that it was the writing on the wall any which ways. But this time around the BJP went a little overboard with its slogan ' Abki baar 400 Paar'. This slogan echoed the confidence of the party but somewhere it bought some kind of apprehension among the voters which the opposition was trying to instill.  The media diverted its attention towards the numbers but the opposition saw this as an opportunity to create anxiety among the voters that this kind of power will put democracy in danger. The carrying of the constitution everywhere and putting it in display and ...

Life is precious – Let us help eachother.

Hey Everyone,

Today I want to bring to you a movie which will revive our fighter spirit in this pandemic period. In today’s day and age where information spreads (true or fake) faster than fire. Looking at all this both on social media as well as on news channels people’s mental health is affected vastly as there are curbs being imposed by the respective governments on our independence, let it be in any country. This pandemic has taken a toll not just on physical well - being but also on mental being. Not just that it has also impacted severely the relationships among people. But let us look at it in a different way.

Let us go back in history when that is during the late 1930s. When one person tried to wipe out an entire community from the planet. People were marked, identified, coerced out of their homes, called names, and thrown in ghettos and then God knows what happened. Families were wiped out. Young children, Infants, Old and unhealthy were the most vulnerable of them all. Young girls and women were raped. The atrocities, to say, were beyond words. People who survived, were the lucky ones and others who helped them in their quest for survival were deemed to be angels.

The movie that I am bringing to you is a 2002 release based on a autobiographical book - The Pianist, A Holocaust Memoir by the survivor Wladyslaw Szpilman (A Pianist and Composer) who was a Polish Jew. Adrian Brody plays the character of the main protagonist who did a commendable job of portraying the character of the Pianist. The family lives in Warsaw which is attacked by the German and Soviet Forces on different war fronts at the same time, but Germany takes control of the region in which they live. The promised aid from France and Great Britain does not come and the Jews are identified and taken to camps, put in ghettos.

The scene which broke my heart was when a family is surrounded by the forces and an old man on a wheelchair is pushed from the apartment and an entire family is killed. Dead bodies are everywhere on the streets and people are killed on gunpoint for no reason whatsoever. It is a heart wrenching moment when people die, and there is uncertainty everywhere.

The movie teaches us how important human life is and what it really means to live with dignity. A section of people was deprived of all the basic rights and sometimes had to hide themselves to survive in the long term. Life sometimes becomes merciless, but we should never leave our fighting spirit that lies within us. We should take lessons from human history and learn the art of survival in the worst possible conditions as life is not always a smooth sail. Let us all together in this tough time be each other’s support and help one and all as much as possible for the greater good of the humanity.

Love You All,

Namitha.
