What is the reason that BJP couldn't touch the magic number of 272?

The elections concluded with much grandeur and the results were awaited with baited breath by all. The toppers looked upon it as achieving All India Rank with record numbers while others saw it as  an opportunity to gain lost ground. It was a very well fought election from the both sides. The voters were offered different kinds of promises. Five years ago it was the slogan of 'Ayega toh Modi hi' which everyone knew that it was the writing on the wall any which ways. But this time around the BJP went a little overboard with its slogan ' Abki baar 400 Paar'. This slogan echoed the confidence of the party but somewhere it bought some kind of apprehension among the voters which the opposition was trying to instill.  The media diverted its attention towards the numbers but the opposition saw this as an opportunity to create anxiety among the voters that this kind of power will put democracy in danger. The carrying of the constitution everywhere and putting it in display and ...

Success Hacks

Success is something which everyone craves for. But no one actually knows, how to define it. It is defined in various terms by the people we meet or live with. At each step, right from childhood to any point in life, we see or listen to different versions of leading a successful life.

We often look at famous people and define it in those terms. At other times, we watch it through the lens of rich people, that is, in monetary terms. There are different versions and also various means of achieving it.

From what I have gathered and observed around, I see it when we live life in our own terms with no compromises. No lectures on this but yes some hacks:

1. Love Yourself: This is the most important thing in life which we all forget while leading this busy life. We care for others but stop taking care of ourselves. We tend to look after our needs but often forget that we will life and enjoy it only when we love ourselves. So stop cribbing about the dont's and look at the things you have.

2. Do Not Compromise: You will be yourself, when you will stop living on others terms or how people perceive. You do not have to say yes for everything just to please others. Live your life, the way you want, on your terms. Compromising on your values, on your beliefs is doubting your worth. Everyone on this planet has some unique talents and we should not compromise with it so as to please others.

3. Work Hard: As Lord Krishna has said in the Bhagavat Gita - "Do your Karma (deeds), do not wish for the fruits." We all need to push ourselves, work really hard as success never comes easy. Try to push yourselves each day out there and you will see the results coming. It is an uphill task but will give the desired results if you put your heart in it.

4.Set yourself goals: This is very important. We should know in which direction we are kicking the ball as it needs to reach the destination. Define your goals, about what you want to achieve. Remind yourselves each day about it and set the ball rolling. Working hard without understanding and knowing what you want to achieve leads us no where. Set the target just like Arjuna, and you shall attain it.

5. Learn from Mistakes: We are human beings. We make mistakes. Not everyone is perfect. The person who learns from them comes out as winner. Admit your mistakes and see to it you do not repeat them. By not accepting our mistakes, we lie to ourselves.

6. Do not stop Learning: Getting educated definitely gives us the edge but it is important to keep ourselves updated as well. The application of our knowledge also is a primary skill. Having a post graduate degree opens doors to different avenues but the application of it becomes salient to move forward. Learning is a daily process. Try to learn from everyone. Knowledge is not just in books but also comes from daily experiences!!!

7. Manage your time: Set your priorities right. See that you finish your most important tasks first and then head to finish the others. It is not about juggling time, but managing time. Neglecting your important activities for the day might lead to unnecessary stress which can often lead to errors.

8. Identify your passions: There is no one who does not have interests or hobbies. If you love painting, singing just take some time and do these activities at least for half an hour. Ask yourself about what you love or had loved while in school. If it is even playing, try even playing a game of ludo with your kids. See the joy that it brings in life. Success is not just defined in monetary terms, but how much satisfaction lies within and around you.

9. Keep Yourself healthy and fit:  Health is wealth and the saying is right. A healthy body and mind gives better results. Practice yoga, or hit the gym or even go for walks or jogs. See the pleasure and calm it brings within you. It not only generates energy but, also brings positivity.

10. Surround yourself with positive people: Be an optimist and surround yourself with optimistic people. Make friends with happy, kind and generous people. Flush out the negativity and see the changes it brings within. Happiness is important rather than being jealous.

11. Value your Family: The people who never leave our side are our near and dear ones. They are our Family. They don't give up on us even in the times of our failures. They are our constant source of motivation who keep us driving and moving ahead. Love them. Adore and Value them.

These are not the ultimate hacks but some useful lessons which I have learnt over a period of time.

Hope you all will like it.

Please do share if you like.

Love you All,

Namitha
